::Even The Least of These Need a Safe Place to Play While their Peeps are Away::

They need a place where their basic needs ...
for warmth (or cool), clean water, fresh food, upkeep after messes and spills and a friendly conversation of two -- "even if it be one sided"-- throughout the day.

I believe that if that were it... (just these most basic of needs met)
that It would be more than sufficient... but the fact of the matter is that I care about these little creatures.

They are here for our pleasure and to keep company with us...but I have come to see over the years, even the smallest or most basic, like a fish, does indeed respond to us if we interact with them, and take the time to notice.

I think they have feelings... though primitive... I things they can be stressed and  fearful , and likewise, I believe they can feel safe and secure.

This Is my aim.. To give them the best care possible, Just like they'd get at home... to make each of them feel  safe and secure during the already stressful time, just by virtue of being away from all they are used to, and count on for security from the homes that they know and are familiar with.

Of course there's not time to really bond with each of them...

So what I can offer is a relaxed atmosphere with relative quiet, climate controlled fresh air (as mentioned above) and soft, mellow, classical music in the background...

Their stay would look something like this...

Each pet has a designated space of their own, selected according to their needs... Birds that keep in step, and stay awake, by day... will be by a window space, allowing them to take advantage of the daylight and  the dark by night

The nocturnals (the Hamsters and Gerbils) will be away from the window by day and be with their own night light by night... likewise, a bird will have a nightlight at hand -- to insure that panic from finding themselves blinded by the darkness. This terror and panic that can at times set in and overtake them from the disorientation due to  the pitch dark.  This can be dangerous, as if they flutter to vigorously, they could break a blood feather and thereby bleed to death. (NOTE) A baby monitor will be in place at all times at night so I can hear such a disturbance and intervene if something like this were to happen. I have experience removing a blood feather correctly and efficiently to stop the bleeding immediately though this is rare.......IF they need covered to keep out the drafts... they'll have a nightlight form blow , enough that they can see, but not enough to keep them from sleeping...
The snakes, spiders, lizards, fish... etc...I'll  handle according to your instructions or per the internet,,, through a bit of research if need be.
nightblindness.

I have had many many years of pet care experience, form the biggest to the smallest.. from field mice, to adopted rats to dwarf  'n teddy bear hamsters, to gerbils (many gerbils) to fish of all kinds.. to crawfish, to frogs, toads, turtles, birds of  differing varieties (and even emergency assisted a struggling dove form it's shell when it came early (or too weak to break out fast enough)
I had an avian vet on the phone giving me the pay by play on how to do this nerve wracking and awe inspiring feat that my daughter and  hugged and trembled and shed tears at he end when the (then) ugly little bobble headed thing lived!

I also took my pet rat to the vet for an emergency surgery t save her life, back about 10 years ago... , So No one can tell me that i don't love little critters form the heart!
So go on with your plans, as long as you desire... no need to stress over what will become of >>> or >>> while you're away.

 I offer reasonable rates
references,
and a downstairs setup for pet care... lots of room for cages...
heat, cool, the music... the appropriate lighting... the blinds for darkness...
the time and the heart to keep them clean, dry, bellies full and watered sufficiently...

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

If any pet should become sick or injured... advanced directives must be signed and I must be held non liable
(if a pet were to get sick.. I would research natural remedies and consult the appropriate vet and get advice)...
I would discuss what I have learned and am willing to do... and do as per your desicion...
I would bring the pet upstairs in my living area and keep vigil over, with a heated bed area.. and given constant (appropriate) care until you return or pet is markedly better, whichever comes first...

Furthermore:
I will transport to the closest appropriate vet per species for a fee commensurate with the time spent, distance to vet and aftercare to be given if the pet comes home with me... (I could see this conceivably costing a couple of hundred dollars (possibly more)..
you will, of course be responsible for any vet care fees, beit normal office hours or after care/emergency visit, hourly fee.. payable over the phone or otherwise at the time pf services rendered...before any care veterinarian can be given

Absolutely no judgement on my part--no matter what decision or course of action you decide upon concerning intervention per your ill pet: and all care decisions stay private information between yourself and me...

~And Lastly

I don't like spiders and snakes...
BUT I DO CARE FOR THEM....
AND I do appreciate that they are living beings and loved by someone.... and will treat them with the same care, respect and give the same treatment as I offer the other species of pets :)
I would need to consult you on the care and cleaning instructions, how, how often, eating habits, special likes and dislikes... and any other pertinent info...
($15.00) for the care consultation)
$20-$50 per week-- for the care , depending  on what is / or is not involved....
and you have my professional promise to impartiality  for each pet, whether 8 legged and furry , slimy or scaley... with legs or without...

A warm "Hello" and a bit of an Intro....

 Hi Visitors!

We are truly excited about this brand new venture-- allowing us to give extra special service to those who love their pets... from the very least of these... if even a snail or a guppy... and offer them peace of mind--while offering these precious pets a safe haven while their Ozzies (On this blog--Owners will be referred to as "Ozzies"--just so you know! ;) are off  for a bit, and just not able to bring them along.

I (we, Noelle and I) ---and even hubby Tom.... really enjoy pets.  Never without a few ourselves.. it has always been on my heart to rescue, foster, help, share love or help with, in any way I could, to any creature needing  love, a place, a break, or a chance.
Thus was born... Little Critter Sitters!

So, as well, you'll find featured pets from petfiinder.org , H.O.P.E. animal shelter... and the misc. and sundry plea or promotion for a home for this or that foundling... from here or there...

Sweet 'lil Emma!

and what a sweet sister she has become... endearing herself intrinsically to our hearts
where she will always reside, even if she cannot stay with us...
We know she is going to a super safe and privileged home... where they are shopping for her presently and pre-preparing their home like they are awaiting an adopted child.  This is as it should be,... as these little critters take a lot of commitment..  They are labor intensive and love interaction... are very social so get easily disheartened and depressed when they don't have enough time with people as well as their own kind... used to living in little piglet communities in nature... they are piggie-piggies... IYKWIM :)
"Furrever in our hearts Emma Nicole"...
 updates coming soon!
